Carlo Paganini (Bob)
Born in 1950 in Piacenza, he lives and works in Ponte dell’Olio, he is self-taught. At the age of 13 he wins a prize for drawing and painting, but his passion is not supported. He undertook technical studies and for a period the Faculty of Languages at the University of Milan, a city that at that time represented the center of trends, avant-gardes, fashion and art.
In addition to visiting exhibitions and museums, he is fascinated by the creativity and imagination of Elio Fiorucci who will become a source of inspiration for him. He lived for 40 years in the world of professions, carrying out activities that allowed him to travel around the world, visit museums and increase his cultural education. Since 2007 he can finally dedicate himself completely to art, since then he has produced many paintings.
After a first period of research, based on different artistic languages, he developed a completely personal technique, drawing inspiration from the street. Steal photographic shots depicting intriguing people or situations that convey emotions and then transfer them to the canvas.
The technique is complex, makes use of different types of support which, once laid, are engraved with sharpened sticks, bringing out the sign, the design which will then be painted in oil.
His works, executed with creativity, testify to the intensity of his art, his innovative technique and his desire for modernization, in addition to the mood of the artist.
